Remedy

Much like Madonna, Britney Spears and Boy George, Remedy has created an online storefront where family, friends and fans can find various band memorabilia for purchase. The desire for an online storefront arose from numerous requests from family members and friends living in other states to purchase shirts like the ones they’ve been seeing in pictures on the website. Rather than burden the wives with taking orders, collecting money, jotting down addresses and mailing boxes, we figured it might be easier to just go ahead and create a product line on the website. In doing so, we’ve been able to create a wide variety of products including shirts, hats, mugs, bumper stickers, magnets, teddy bears, and yes, even dog sweaters! We had an opportunity to create Remedy thongs (not kidding) but were so disturbed by the thought that we left those out of the shop!

Using a plugin for WordPress from Cafepress, we were able to upload a logo into their ‘WYSIWYG’ and instantly design a great number of products in mere minutes. The one downfall, as you may notice from visiting the Remedy Shop, is the price. Although tremendously pleased by the convenience and ease of use, we can’t say we’re overjoyed at the cost of a t-shirt, which starts at $18.99. It should be noted that Remedy earns NO MONEY from the proceeds of the merchandise and has not marked up the cost of the items at all. Although it’s incredibly convenient, you do end up paying for it a bit.

Nevertheless, the Remedy Shop is now live and open for business and although we don’t have the same kind of following as Madonna, Britney Spears or Boy George, we’re hoping to sell a few items to those who would like to take advantage of some of the cool items we have online for sale. Heck, if you buy the dog sweater, I may even throw in a dog with it! Lord knows the band has enough of them!
